A Timeline of BTS

If you follow me on Twitter (which you totally should) then you know I’ve been working on a BTS timeline for a while now. This took so much out of me. It took days and a ton of resources. I scoured the web for dates and award titles. I reconfirmed things that I’d thought I had memorized. It is still by no means comprehensive. In fact, I feel like this is only the tip of the iceberg. Even after going back into the timeline a dozen times to add more and more things, I still feel like it is largely incomplete. But it’s a solid start for anyone looking to have a better understanding of BTS’s accomplishments.

What I excluded

I chose to exclude certain things, such as the compilation albums and the other tours that were not world tours (despite how much I loved them). I also did not include any non-Daesang wins for award shows or any wins beyond the first win for each comeback. I wanted to include links to everything but I also wanted the picture to be easy to load and I thought that would make the file impossible. Honestly, I felt like I could’ve written whole posts for each description. I wanted to say so much about each of their accomplishments but I felt like the timeline would like far too crowded and I wanted it to be more of a reference point than a love letter about BTS. That said, I hope what I’ve provided is enough for you to understand each moment of BTS’s career and that you can use this as a real reference.

Do you want to know more?

I did a lot of research for this BTS timeline so if you have any questions about the events or the albums and you would like links to the more obscure things (like some links to American Hustle Life, for instance *cough cough*), let me know and I can point you in the right direction! For a long time a lot of these things were difficult to find–especially the Japanese releases–so it’s great to see that BTS’s success has allowed a little more accessibility for us international ARMYs.

In any case, I hope this is a valuable resource for all. I’m a big believer that anyone should have the tools to be an ARMY and I wish someone had laid it all out for me like this when I started being an ARMY. I know with the influx of ARMYs now that there are a lot of people who are missing crucial facts or critical events simply for lack of time to research so I hope this little BTS timeline makes things a little easier. I’ll be sharing it on social media and I would appreciate if you do not repost it. If you spot anyone else doing so, please let me know! Thanks everyone!

Should I make more?

Let me know what you think about the timeline and if you think something should’ve been added that I left out. Should I do timelines for other groups? Or would you like more BTS resources?

  1. I think this is cool. I thought of doing something like this before but I was too lazy. πŸ˜› So yea even more props for pulling through with this. πŸ™‚

If you did this for other groups and then linked them together under one post or put them all on one page, it could potentially be all kinds of amazing. πŸ™‚
