It is no secret that I love this song. I remember listening to this for the first time on their first EP and thinking that it was easily one of the best songs that any rookies had ever released. In fact, I loved it so much that I made an entire post about how to make Blue Orangeade popsicles.

One of the first things that struck me about this song was the acapella parts in the background of the song. It makes the track so playful and fun. But it’s not just the song itself that adds to the air of excitement; it is in large part the energy of the boys when the song is performed.

I understand that as rookies, there was a certain pressure to make their first comeback somewhat cute and to lean into the boyfriend aesthetic. More often than not, this ends up feeling recycled and boring when other groups have done it. Not so with TXT. They created a unique and interesting song and matched a concept to it that enhanced it without seeming trite. It is an excellent song for a debut, and it made my love for TXT solidify.

What song did you think of for the letter B? Do you like Blue Orangeade? Let me know in the comments!
