I’m not even gonna lie to you: this is one of my favorite songs of all time. The first time I heard this song, I could not stop thinking about it. I don’t know why it struck me as much it did on that first listen, but all I can tell you is that since then I could–and have–listen to this song a million times in a row and be just as hype every single time.
If you’re not familiar with Odd Eye Circle, they were one of the subgroups of LOONA before they debuted. It was composed of Kim Lip, Choerry, and (my bias) JinSoul. At the risk of sounding dramatic, they were the best thing that ever happened to Blockberry Creative. The combination of their voices meld perfectly and their chemistry on stage is amazing.
I have watched every single live stage of this song and I can tell you that their performance always delivers. The choreography isn’t horribly complicated, but that doesn’t matter because the choreo is not really what shines in this song. What does shine? The chorus. Also the bridge. Actually the verses are pretty amazing too. So basically everything.
Gushing aside, it was a wise move on the part of their team to do something more EDM-adjacent given how pop-driven the songs released up until this one were. It gave the girls variety and showed that the girls have incredible range.
