K-Bops in K-Pop

As a ONCE that has been around since the very first TWICE comeback, I can tell you for absolute certain that they do not have bad songs. I could have put literally any TWICE song on this series and absolutely gushed about each one. As a matter of fact, if I ranked every single TWICE title track I would probably rank this one pretty low on the list. But it’s still a bop–that’s how good they are.

Knock Knock is one of those perfect TWICE songs that follows their branded formula. It’s catchy, it has choreography that even the worst dancer could easily repeat, and it has a bright and colorful music video that you want to watch over and over again.

This is not to say anything negative about that formula. It’s what makes TWICE great. But the main reason why I don’t listen to this song as frequently as the others is because I felt like they weren’t introducing any new elements or twists to the formula as they normally do.

Still, Knock Knock is quintessential TWICE. All the girls shine, and the song is great. I only wish JYP hadn’t been in the video, but you can’t have it all.
